Anthony Rodwell-Ball has been hired as Non Government Schools Superannuation Fund's (NGS Super) new chief executive.
The former Emergency Services and State Super [ESSS] acting chief will start on June 10.
The hire of a new chief comes as NGS Super's proposed financial planning services application enters its final regulatory approval stage.
Rodwell-Ball's extensive experience will provide the fund with additional governance and organisation skills to ensure its successful implementation, NGS Super said in a statement.
John McCrory has been acting chief since the resignation of former chief Colin McGuinness in January this year.
McCrory will become project manager at the national industry super fund. He will push ahead with the strategic program for 2008.
The new chief's hire follows those of operations general manager Laura Wright and risk and compliance manager Kerry Mulley.
Prior to his new appointment, Rodwell-Ball was formerly ESSS chief financial officer. After an extensive career in both manufacturing and telecommunications, he joined the superannuation industry in 2001.
He was also formerly AustralianSuper finance and risk general manager, a post he left in 2006.
NGS Super's dominant member demographic is mature teachers. It has 80,000 members.
