Financial services company Skandia has hired Wes Gillett as head of retail distribution.
He replaced Martin Morris, who left Skandia to start up his own consultancy firm.
Gillett, who starts today, will be responsible for building relationships with financial planners and selling Skandia's administration platform.
He was previously head of ING's Investment platform and insurance products.
Gillett said he joined Skandia because of its strong growth prospects and that he has worked with some of its team before.
"Wes brings a strong relationship focus with a deep understanding for how platforms can make a dealer and adviser's business efficient," Skandia chief executive, Ross Laidlaw said.
Skandia merged with Intech last year and now has over $15 billion in funds under management.
