Financial services firm Mercer has hired investment consultant Richard Everingham to boost its local investment offering.

The hire comes as Mercer looks to expand its services to the Asian region.

Mehrotra, who will be working with Everingham, was recently hired by Mercer to run its Mumbai-based research house.

The practice provides Indian firms with research on listed equities, opportunistic investments and infrastructure.

Globally, Mercer's investment consulting business manages US$3.5 trillion and has offices in 35 countries.
