BT Investment Management (BTIM) has appointed Emilio Gonzalez as its chief executive.

BT Investment Management (BTIM) has appointed Emilio Gonzalez as its chief executive.

Gonzalez will join BTIM on 21 January 2010, while Brian Scullin remains as executive chairman.

"I believe my broad experience and specialist funds management skills will enable me to lead BTIM at an exciting time in its development and in an environment which offers many emerging opportunities," Gonzalez said.

Gonzalez was formerly group executive of global equities at fund manager Perpetual.
