Indices provider MSCI Barra has made changes to several of its equity benchmarks following its November 2009 semi-annual index review.

Forty-eight securities were added while 38 were removed from its MSCI Global Standard indices, which include MSCI World and MSCI Emerging Markets.

United States-based financial services firm Genworth Financial and Canadian oil and natural gas producer Petrobank Energy & Resources were among the biggest additions to the MSCI World Index.

Brazilian retail clothing chain Lojas Renner and China-based paper manufacturer Nine Dragons Paper were among the largest inclusions to the MSCI Emerging Markets Index.
