Research house Standard & Poor's (S&P) has put Resolution Capital's Global Property Securities Fund on hold after co-portfolio manager Peter Hartigan stepped down from the role for personal reasons.

Hartigan, a founding director of Resolution Capital, has been co-portfolio manager of the fund since its inception and has been responsible for stock coverage in the retail and industrial sectors. He will continue as a director and part owner of the company.

His responsibilities will be assumed by senior analyst Jan-Aldert deVos, who has more than six years' experience as a real estate securities analyst and has been working with Hartigan since 2007.

The firm also appointed analyst Anni Hu to assist with stock analysis.

"In consideration of the loss of Hartigan's experience, expertise and seniority within the team, coupled with the added responsibilities for other members of the relatively small but experienced, centralised team, S&P considers Hartigan's departure to be material and a fund review is warranted," S&P fund analyst Peter Ward said.
