The Seres Asian Equity Opportunities Fund is long/short in nature and will be run by AUI's Hong Kong-based joint venture partner, Seres Asset Management.
"We think Asia is a compelling place to be and a compelling place to invest and it's something we think both retail and institutional investors should do much, much more of," AUI chief executive David Bryant said.
The fund is absolute return-orientated and as such does not measure itself strictly against a benchmark.
