Westpac Online Investing has expanded its contracts for difference (CFD) offering to include international shares, share market indices, foreign exchange rates and commodities.

"This expanded CFD offering enables investors to gain leveraged exposure to a wider range of individual shares, share market indices, currencies and commodities, without needing to own the underlying asset," Westpac Online Investing head James Staltari said.

Investors can gain exposure to markets in the United States, United Kingdom, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore and New Zealand by using the direct market access share CFDs.
