Standard & Poor's Fund Services (S&P) has taken the AMP Capital Sustainable Share Fund off hold and downgraded its rating to two stars following a review of Australian equities ethical, index and sector-specific managers.

The fund was rated three stars before it was put on hold by S&P in March due to a key personnel departure.

"The team's separation of responsibilities between environmental, social and governance and fundamental research underpins the importance of retaining investment professionals across both disciplines, which the manager has struggled to do," S&P fund analyst James Gunn said.
