Westpac-owned St George Banking Group has made fresh appointments to its financial planning divisions to drive their growth.
Jason Dunn has joined as St George Financial Planning head of distribution.
Dunn has responsibility for distribution across the three St George advice brands: St George Financial Planning, BankSA Financial Planning and Bank of Melbourne Financial Planning.
He was previously at Westpac-owned BT Financial Group as client value proposition director.
Former Financial Wisdom state manager Ian Knight was hired as Bank of Melbourne head of financial planning.
Knight's role will be to deliver the division's growth strategy and boost adviser numbers to 50 within three years from 10 currently.
"Ian Knight's appointment as the head of financial planning for the Bank of Melbourne is part of our commitment to building our full-service offer to our Victorian customers," St George head of advice Sean Allen said.
Annie Wong was appointed as St George Financial Planning head of business operations.
Wong was formerly with MLC as manager of paraplanning and statement of advice services.
She had over 13 years' experience in the financial planning industry leading paraplanning teams to help advisers deliver consistent high-quality advice documents and streamline processes to achieve greater productivity and customer outcomes, Allen said.
Wong will be responsible for business operations across the three St George advice channels.
"The roles are new and the line-up impressive. This is an injection of intellect and energy into the business that will build our advice offer, grow our planner numbers and drive quality outcomes for customers." Allen said.
