Asset finance provider Vequip has launched a new product that gives finance brokers control over their transactions without needing accreditation.

In the past, lender accreditations had enabled brokers to write their own leasing transactions, but since the banks introduced individual volume targets on transactions many brokers' accreditation had been cancelled, Vequip director Graeme Porter said.

"Rather than brokers needing to keep up with a certain volume of transactions to keep their individual accreditations, Vequip holds the accreditation on behalf of numerous brokers, which enables it to meet the volume set by lenders," Porter said.

Brokers can write their own loans, while Vequip provides support services, including online system access, marketing support, ongoing leasing training and access to a lending specialist and business development manager.
