WB Financial Management has hired a former PIS executive as its new chief.

Financial services group WB Financial Management has named David Keys as its new chief executive.

WB Financial Management chairman Garry Connelly announced the former general manager of Professional Investment Services' (PIS) New Zealand business as the firm's new leader yesterday.

"This appointment is an important step in the company's strategy to move the group towards an eventual IPO [initial public offer] in approximately five years time," Connelly said.

"Substantial work has already been commenced on this project and a key objective for Mr Keys will be to ensure that WB Financial adviser businesses and their clients continue to receive the highest level of service and that they and all stakeholders benefit from the successful transition to a listed entity."
