Hub24 has been selected to provide Sentry with unitised managed accounts.

Financial planning dealer group Sentry has reached an agreement to have Hub24 provide its advisory network with unitised managed accounts (UMA).

The service will allow the 330 financial planners in the group access to bulk trades for numerous clients simultaneously across a range of investment products including managed funds, listed securities and separately managed accounts.

The Hub24 UMA will be used alongside Sentry's existing platform product to expand the variety of investment options available for its clients.

"Initially, we plan to trial the UMA facility with a select group of planners who provide highly specialised services to high net worth clients as the tax planning advantages of utilising a UMA will maximise the worth and style of the administration platform," Sentry chief executive Murray Hills said.

"Furthermore, the portfolio construction, modelling and reviewing processes through Hub24 will assist Sentry's planners to guide their clients in a more customised and personalised way than previously possible," he said.

The deal signifies the first national dealer group to sign up with Hub24 for its UMA service since its inception in 2007.

"Since we began Hub24, it has been our steadfast commitment to build sustainable and superior wealth for our advisers' clients by providing a best of breed financial services platform that embraces our cornerstone commitment to innovation, flexibility, efficiency and client-centric wealth generating solutions," Hub24 chief executive Darren Pettiona said.
