Boutique fund manager Lodestar Capital Partners has hired Gary Armor and Michael Kelly to its investment team.
Armor previously worked at AMP Capital Investors as head of capital funds. Kelly was the founding partner of boutique investment manager Portfolio Partners.
At Lodestar, Armor will work as a senior equities analyst and portfolio manager overseeing the resources, building materials and utilities sectors.
Kelly has been hired as a senior equities analyst and will oversee the industrial sectors, including listed property trusts, media, retail, industrial services and agriculture.
"Market conditions are likely to favour active management of stock positions. The Lodestar team is well resourced to take advantage of these opportunities and help deliver attractive long-term return to clients," Lodestar chief investment officer John Morgan said.
Lodestar has $175 million in funds under management.
