Two HSBC funds will now be available to retail investors through financial planners via IOOF's range of investment platforms, including Pursuit Select.
The HSBC Asia Select Equity Fund was previously only open to institutional investors and provides exposure to a variety of Asian economies.
HSBC announced in November 2009 that it had struck a deal with IOOF and was also in discussions with a number of other platforms to have the fund listed.
Also available to retail investors is the HSBC Diversified Strategy Fund, which provides access to a fund of hedge funds strategy investing in more than 50 hedge funds globally.
"We continue to see increasing demand from Australian retail investors for international investments, and with these funds now available through financial planners via the IOOF platforms, it gives Australian investors access to the world's leading international and emerging market investment opportunities," HSBC's global investment business in Australia head of wholesale distribution Geoffrey Pidgeon said.
