Wealth manager Perpetual has continued the expansion of its private client division with the hiring of Nick Langton as general manager private client advice.
Langton joins the firm from Zurich Investments, where he was head of wholesale sales.
Prior to his time with Zurich, Langton held senior roles with BT Financial Group and St George Wealth Management.
He will report to newly appointed Private Wealth group executive Geoff Lloyd.
Lloyd, who joined Perpetual in August, said Langton is a key hire.
"As we continue to integrate the specialist service offerings made available by the newly acquired businesses, Private Wealth will grow its ability to capture the opportunities created by the continued growth of financial advice in Australia," Lloyd said.
"We will now have the right person to help channel that ability to our target client segments."
In August, the company reported a significant increase in funds under advice, helped by the acquisition of advice businesses Grosvenor Financial Services and Fordham Business Advisors.
