Greg Dunger is Centric Wealth's new director of financial planning.

Centric Wealth has announced the appointment of Greg Dunger as its new director of financial planning.

Dunger has held financial services positions locally and in Asia and the UK, and has amassed over 30 years of industry experience.

He takes over the role from John Hart, who was national head of financial planning at Centric Wealth before taking on his new responsibilities as head of mergers, acquisitions and growth.

Dunger joins Centric from his most recent consulting role at AMP, where he was involved in establishing the plans for the organisation's Financial Centre.

Prior to this he was managing director of RetireInvest, a position he held between 2006 and 2009, and before that he was AON Financial Planning & AON Wealth Management managing director.

As director of financial planning at Centric Wealth, Dunger will report directly to chief executive John McMurdo and will be responsible for the firm's entire financial planning arm.

"Greg's life-long passion for financial planning, and strong reputation across the profession as being very client and adviser driven, makes him a perfect fit for the business," McMurdo said.

"Centric Wealth is based on client-centric principles and continues to lead the industry with best-practice professional standards. It is for these reasons, among others, that we continue to attract strong, senior talent and I am very pleased to have someone of Greg's calibre join us," he said.
