Glen Foster is Perpetual's new senior investment analyst diversified funds.

Perpetual Investments has appointed Glen Foster to the new role of senior investment analyst diversified funds.

The appointment represents an internal move for Foster who joined the organisation in June 2009 as a quantitative analyst. In this initial role Foster looked after quantitative analysis and systems development and was a member of the quantitative equities investment team.

As senior investment analyst diversified funds Foster will be assisting in Perpetual's quantitative systems and asset allocation strategies.

He will have the responsibility of formulating beta prime strategies for all asset classes aimed at generating more cost efficient and better return outcomes than those provided by passive investment techniques.

Foster will now report directly to Perpetual portfolio manager diversified funds Michael Blayney and will also assist him in the management of the portfolios.

Before joining Perpetual, Foster accumulated more than eight years experience in the industry working for AMP Capital Investors and Watson Wyatt Investment Consulting.

In these positions, Foster gained exposure to tactical asset allocation strategies, portfolio construction, systems development, and investment risk analysis and consulting.
