Executive departures have prompted CommInsure to reorganise its distribution team.

CommInsure has reshuffled its distribution team following the departure of two executives.

CommInsure head of adviser distribution Todd Kardash and CommInsure New South Wales state manager Chris Blaxland-Walker resigned from the Commonwealth Bank of Australia-owned group earlier this month.

"Chris and Todd go with our best wishes and the key challenge is going to be identifying the appropriate candidates," CommInsure general manager of retail advice Tim Browne said.

Browne said the departures were part of a natural career progression, with both Kardash and Blaxland-Walker leaving their roles after more than five years with the group.

"We've got a very strong succession plan in place. Mark Sheldon has moved immediately into acting head of distribution," he said.

"He's got very extensive experience with IFAs (independent financial advisers) and has been heavily involved in drafting the distribution strategy.

"Roger Down has stepped into the NSW state manager position in an acting capacity and we've commenced a search of the marketplace for their replacements."

Kardash and Blaxland-Walker's departures follow former CommInsure head of national accounts Simon Harris's exit in December last year.

Harris quit the group to join Guardian Financial Planning as its new executive manager.
