Professional Investment Services (PIS) has named Peter Walther as its new chief executive.
Walther joins the dealer group from insurance broking firm Marsh where he held the role as managing director Asia Pacific, Private Equity and M&A Services.
He will commence in this role effective Monday 22 August following an extensive recruitment campaign.
"Peter came to our attention because of his strong execution skills, his proven ability to lead top performing teams and his track record in driving shareholder value," PIS managing director Grahame Evans said.
"He is a persuasive leader with impressive financial management skills who will motivate staff and network representatives to continually test themselves in an ever changing market."
Walther's financial services career spans 22 years in both domestic and international leadership roles.
He has he senior positions with NatWest USA and Fleet Bank.
