CPA Australia is undertaking a review of its internal operations and its CPA program professional level.
CPA Australia general counsel Craig Loughton said the decision to review its operations was aimed at maintaining the organisation's level of quality.
"We're doing an internal review of our own processes so it makes sense in concert with that to reach out to the market," Loughton said.
"What that means is we need to reach back out to the market and listen and understand what current trends are doing."
He said the purpose of industry feedback, or the request for information (RFI), was to address the challenges associated with developing learning materials and delivering nearly 60,000 exams across 300 locations in 65 countries a year.
"The RFI is drafted at a fairly high level to basically just get some information back from the market, which will then allow us to properly frame the RFT (request for tender), which will probably go out prior to Christmas," he said.
"What we are certainly endeavouring to do is make the qualitative nature of the program world best standard. So that means reaching out to world best suppliers, [both] domestic and international."
The key areas the RFI plans to examine are learning materials design, development and support exam development and psychometric services; exam production, distribution, collection and processing; exam coordination and delivery, and exam marking and results delivery.
The deadline for final RFI responses is 7 November.
