Melbourne-based superannuation IT consultancy QMV Super Solutions is on the hunt for a new chief executive, following the resignation of Brad Goodall.

Mr Goodall, who has been vocal about the failure of the superannuation industry to automate its back-office processes and the growing technology gap between industry funds and retail funds, has accepted a position in the UK.

QMV executive director Michael Quinn will take on the role of acting chief executive in the short term and will work closely with Mr Goodall in the search for a replacement, according to a statement by the firm.

Mr Quinn said Mr Goodall's contribution to the company "could not be underestimated".

“Brad’s leadership has seen QMV grow from a boutique consultancy to a company with more than 50 staff in just over three years,” he said.

“His invaluable leadership and his enthusiasm for the role will be missed, but we wish him all the best for his exciting challenge overseas," said Mr Quinn.

Mr Goodall joined QMV as general manager in June 2010 and was promoted to chief executive in 2012.

“Although I am certainly sad to be departing, I leave behind an extraordinary leadership team who I have no doubt will build on the solid platform we have developed,” said Mr Goodall.
