Morningstar has made a raft of changes to its Australasian manager research team, including the appointment of two directors for manager research ratings and manager research.

Tom Whitelaw has been appointed director of manager research ratings and will be responsible for chairing the ratings committee and managing the research team and schedule.

Mr Whitelaw first joined Morningstar in 2007 and has worked within the Australasian manager research team since 2010.

Prior to this he worked in the UK manager research team for three years and has also held fund research roles with Aviva and Pearson Jones.

He will relocate to Morningstar’s Chicago headquarters in September 2014 to lead the American regional data team.
