The research house announced that Mr Da Silva will take on the role of head of research, fixed income and alternatives, following the announcement that SQM would enter the space in the wake of van Eyk Research’s collapse.
“Robert is an extremely experienced financial services professional with a career that spans three decades as an active portfolio manager covering direct and multi-asset portfolios,” said a statement from SQM.
“He has led a variety of investment teams and has a deep understanding of risk management and fixed income markets.”
