Mr Pike will be responsible for leading the life insurance business’ “strategic and transformational agenda” and will report to CFO Jeremy Robson, the statement said.
“David will be a key influencer in the business and will work closely with the Life executive team to ensure sustainable development, alignment and execution of the strategy,” Mr Robson said.
“He will be responsible for the critical areas of strategy and transformation for the Life business.”
The appointment came into effect yesterday.
