Financial planning and accounting firm HLB Mann Judd has hired from within its own ranks to appoint the new director of its business advisory division.

In a statement, the financial services provider said Kate Blecich has been appointed to the Sydney-based role.

Prior to joining the firm in 2011, Ms Blecich worked for Standard Life in Edinburgh as a management consultant and with Westpac as a senior business adviser.

“Ms Blecich has over eight years' experience in business performance improvement, specifically through assisting business development in areas such as business growth, profit maximisation, enhancing cash flow, asset protection and succession planning,” the statement from HLB Mann Judd said.

Commenting on Ms Blecich’s appointment, HLB Mann Judd managing partner Tony Fittler said she has a “proven track record” of working with businesses to make them “stronger and more profitable”.

“Kate is already highly regarded by clients and colleagues for her problem solving skills. She is technically minded and able to achieve quick results that are both practical and commercially astute,” he said.

“It is always pleasing to be able to promote from within, and Kate’s appointment is a testament to the strength of the firm and its internal staff development programs.

“Kate’s experience and skill set are a good fit, as the business advisory division continues its focus on the profitability and growth of clients in the family business sector,” he said.
