Former Centric Wealth chief executive Phil Kearns has been named as the new managing director of insurance brokerage InterRisk Australia.

InterRisk – an equity partner of ASX-listed brokerage Austbroker Holdings – announced yesterday that the former financial planning industry executive (and former international rugby player) will commence in the role in April.

Following his professional sports career, Mr Kearns worked at Investec and then AMP before joining Centric Wealth, where he remained until its acquisition by the Findex Group.

“Phil has been responsible for successfully leading diverse people-based financial services businesses and managing significant corporate transactions in wealth advisory and other industries,” said InterRisk chairman Dennis Guy.
