The event saw the Australian Consulate-General in New York partnering with St. Paul’s Chapel of Trinity Church Wall Street to host an ANZAC Day commemorative service.
Proceeds from the service went to the association’s American-Australian Veterans’ Fund scholarships.
Also sponsoring the event in the finance sector among other companies were ANZ, BainCapital, Dixon Advisory, Greenspring Associates, ifm investors, JP Morgan, Kayne Anderson Capital Advisers, Morgan Stanley and Redding Ridge Asset Management.
Louise Watson, General Manager for Australia at Natixis Investment Managers commented: “The Guardians of ANZAC initiative helps provide scholarships for Australian and American veterans.
“In recognition of ANZAC Day, the spirit of mateship, and the legacy of our diggers and their American allies, we are pleased to be co-sponsoring this worthwhile cause along with our affiliate managers, Loomis Sayles, Vaughan Nelson and Flexstone.”
The body said it has to date awarded 19 Australian and American veterans more than $800,000 to further their education.
The grants were launched in 2017.
