The new partnership will expand Bell Asset Management’s presence in the US market.

Boutique global equity manager Bell Asset Management has announced a joint venture distribution partnership with US-based Spouting Rock Asset Management.

The partnership between the two firms is set to create a distribution platform for Bell Asset Management’s global equity strategies in the Americas and will also include the development of several collective investment trusts.

Bell Asset Management, led by CIO Ned Bell and co-portfolio manager Adrian Martuccio, said it had a long history of managing assets for US pension funds and provided both global all-cap and small and mid-cap (SMID) strategies.

“Leveraging our existing network and expanding further into the US market is the next step in the evolution of Bell Asset Management,” said Mr Bell.

“Spouting Rock’s trusted relationships, forward-thinking investment approach and shared services model will be invaluable to our team as we bring our investment solutions to the Americas.”

The firm also highlighted its commitment to ESG integration as part of its investment process including screening, analysis, active engagement and proxy voting.

Spouting Rock Asset Management said it was dedicated to providing alternative, traditional and thematic investment solutions through its multi-boutique manager platform.

CEO Andrew Smith said Spouting Rock was excited to welcome Bell Asset Management to its family.

“For nearly two decades, Ned and Adrian have built several highly successful strategies across global equities,” he said.

“Bell Asset Management’s complementary strategies, ESG capabilities and unparalleled professionalism serve as a strong foundation for this partnership.”

Earlier this month, Mr Bell flagged the gap between earnings growth and the share price recovery as providing an opportunity for investors.

Bell Asset Management CEO Nick Fels was also recently appointed to the board of the Financial Services Council.
