Firetrail Investments has confirmed the departure of four executives over the last quarter, including head of investment strategy Anthony Doyle.

First reported by The Australian Financial Review, Firetrail confirmed head of investment strategy Anthony Doyle, portfolio manager Oscar Hutchinson, investment specialist Chris Robinson, and global equity analyst Georgia Locke have stepped down.

The exits have taken place over the last 2–3 months, it clarified.

Doyle joined the firm in early 2022 from Fidelity to lead its investment strategy. He also managed the investment and product specialist team, overseeing distribution, marketing, client service and product development for Firetrail.

Meanwhile Hutchinson, who also made the move from Fidelity, joined the fund manager in 2023, with deep experience covering European markets, financials, healthcare, metals and mining, and consumer sectors.

Investment specialist Robinson, who is believed to be taking a career break, served in Pinnacle’s distribution channel for almost a year before making the move to Firetrail.

Of the four departures, Locke has since announced a new position, joining Clean Energy Finance Corporation as an associate, effective October 2024. She had spent over three and a half years as a global equities analyst at Firetrail.

Launched in 2018, Firetrail is majority owned by the investment staff and team, with Pinnacle Investment Management serving as partner and minority shareholder.

It was established by a portfolio management team including Patrick Hodgens, Blake Henricks and James Miller, who worked together at Macquarie for over a decade.

It manages the Firetrail Australian High Conviction Fund, the Firetrail Absolute Return Fund, the Firetrail S3 Global Opportunities Fund, and the Firetrail Australian Small Companies Fund, which was recently listed on the ASX as an active ETF in November.
