LGsuper will change its name to Local Government Investment Australia, or LGIAsuper, next month.

The fund, which invests the retirement savings of Queensland local government employees and their spouses, is often confused with the fund that represents NSW local government employees, Local Government Super (LGS).

According to a statement by LGsuper, which is worth $9.5 billion, the fund will retain the "stylised green tree icon" and incorporate the new tagline "Let's Grow".

LGsuper chair Bronywn Morris said the "latest evolution of the brand" would help differentiate LGsuper from others in the marketplace.
